Sarah Oullette Awarded NASA's Silver Snoopy
Sarah Ouellette with Astronaut Mark Vande Hei.

Sarah Oullette, a Software Project Manager in Launch Control Subsystems for the COMET contract, was honored with NASA’s prestigious Silver Snoopy Award on April 3, 2025, for her leadership and tireless efforts in support of the Launch Control System (LCS) and Future LCC for Exploration (FLEX) Project.

A five-year veteran with Aerodyne, Sarah is the fifth Aerodyne teammate honored with a Silver Snoopy, which is the astronauts' own award given to employees who made significant contributions to the human space flight program to ensure flight safety and mission success.  Less than 1 percent of the aerospace workforce receives it annually.

Sarah’s guidance, support, leadership, and "can-do" attitude have allowed her teams to be successful in meeting program milestones and objectives, contributing significantly to the future success of the Artemis II mission.

She routinely contributes beyond her normal work requirements by assisting with other FLEX and LCS project managers in their duties and coordinating across teams to ensure high-quality and on-time deliverables for the program.

In addition, Sarah led an effort to close out prerequisite requirements within a tight window that allowed the LCS system to be certified for use with Spacecraft Offline Operations (SOO) and Integrated Test and Check Out (ITCO) at the Kennedy Space Center for the Artemis II mission.

Sarah also has a material role in identifying, defining, and implementing process improvements that save the program time, money, and increase the speed at which work is approved, conducted, and delivered to end users.  Due to her unique skill sets and expertise in her groups, she has been instrumental in developing modifications to processes and procedures that increase efficiency, resulting in faster deliveries to end users.

“Words cannot express how humbled and honored I am to receive this prestigious award,” said Sarah.

“I’m incredibly grateful to my team for their support and dedication in our efforts to provide software for human-rated space flight and look forward to the challenges ahead.”
