CEO Andy Allen appears on NASA’s “Mission Success is in Our Hands" Forum
Andy Allen was the featured speaker in the “Mission Success is in Our Hands” forum series held virtually on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021.
It was the 33rd and final program of the year for the series, which is a partnership with NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Safety and Mission Assurance (SM&A) Office and Jacobs Engineering.
Started in 2015, the series objectives are to promote and strengthen each employees focus on mission, hardware and crew safety at the MSFC.
With an aerospace career spanning more than 40 years, Andy shared many experiences and perspectives on Safety, Operational Excellence and Workforce Performance as a Marine Corps Fighter Pilot, Space Shuttle Astronaut, NASA Manager, Industry Executive and Entrepreneur – which, of course, includes his role as Aerodyne CEO.
“The most important thing you want to see from people is that they care for the jobs,” he said. “And as a leader, it is your responsibility, your job, to pay attention to the needs of the workforce.
“Success isn’t determined by executives in a boardroom, it is the results of a hard-working team that is passionate about their job.”
