Abigail Coleman, a Command Software Engineer and Teammate Principal for MSOC, received an Excellence Team Award along with for their “outstanding work on enhancing Event Trigger Command Queue modeling to provide the users better insight for when Event Trigger commands will execute.”

They were honored on June 30, 2025.

“There were many starts/stops on this Change Request (CR) due to the complications of trying to find the correct sources of data that could be used and how we might gain access to that data, not to mention the complexity in calculating the estimated execution time with access to that data,” said Forrest Day, Command and Comm Software Manager.

Abigail and Jeremyah worked closely with the customer and the System Engineer to help identify the best sources of data for Flight Segment times and Burn times within the Burn Plan, both are used to help determine the estimated execution time for non- Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)/ Mission Elapsed Time (MET) Event Trigger commands.

After initial delivery to the user, the duo provided excellent support for user runs and quickly resolved any identifies issues.

“Thanks to Jeremyah and Abigail, we have finally wrapped up this complex CR and provided a solution the users are happy with and will make Artemis II a greater success,” said Day.  “Great work!”

"It feels amazing to be recognized for the work done for this CR.  This CR has been turned off and, on many times, so there have been a lot of handovers and a lot of collaboration.  Working with Jeremyah on this project was a lot of fun though, he is such a great teammate, and he makes even the most complicated work enjoyable." – Abigail Coleman
