DAVE LANGHAUSER

Executive Vice President of Sales Growth

Since he was a young boy, Dave always yearned for a career in aerospace.  Today, he serves as the Executive Vice President of Sales Growth, where he is responsible for developing and leading Aerodyne’s growth strategy. Dave brings more than three decades of leadership experience providing business capture, engineering, and technical support services and solutions primarily in the Federal Government market sector.  He is highly skilled as an engineer and brings an industry-leading record of accomplishment in the business development arena.

Prior to joining Aerodyne, Dave served as a Vice President at Jacobs with lead responsibilities for major business development endeavors to include strategic planning, business opportunity identification, bid/no bid evaluation, pre-proposal planning, teaming, proposal management, technical proposal writing, cost formulation, key personnel recruiting, contract negotiation, and operational/financial management.  For pursuits with roles as either the capture manager, proposal manager, principal author, and/or business development team lead, the cumulative revenue recognized from his contract wins while in business development with Jacobs exceeded $7B (with several billion dollars more in backlog), with more than $1B in annual revenue recognized during his last two years with the firm.  Amazingly, nearly 75% of this revenue came from contract wins on new business pursuits that further opened the door to new markets and opportunities.  In addition, Dave has led a number of complex, large-scale contract phase-in and transition efforts for new business wins.

Dave’s technical expertise includes system engineering and test support in the areas of aircraft performance, controls and handling qualities, mission computer software, sensors, air-to-air missile systems, infrared detection and tracking, electronic warfare, radar, simulation, telemetry, and airborne/range instrumentation systems.

He had key roles in more than 100 test programs and performed a myriad of weapon system test and evaluation activities, including test design, instrumentation system development, modification design/installation, data collection and analysis, and in-flight test engineer duties.  Inclusive of both his active duty service as a USAF officer and as a contractor, Dave has logged more than 500 flight hours of mission support on 12 different types of fighters, special operations aircraft, and helicopters.

Dave has a Master of Science in Aeronautical Science and is a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering.
